We are currently seeking Casual Care Service Employees to join our friendly and dedicated team.


ABOUT THE ROLE


You will play the key role in delivering our award winning model of care and make a real difference to residents' quality of life.


In the role of Personal Care Worker at The Salvation Army, you will build strong, positive relationships with our residents and be responsible for the delivery of personal care and assistance to meet individual needs of our consumers.

The role is to deliver homely and loving environments by providing care with compassion, respect, integrity and dignity.

You will be able to work under limited supervision and in accordance with the nursing care plan;

  • Deliver comprehensive, individualised personal care to residents in accordance with nursing care plans (NCPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout each shift
  • Recognise and report all concerns relating to residents' health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge (promptly and accurately comply with all reasonable RN/EN directives
  • Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents is maintained at all times and that all personal interactions reflect respect and compassion
  • Assist in the development of resident care plans

ABOUT YOU


We currently have positions available for individuals, who are committed to providing excellence in care and the best possible quality of life to our residents.


  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Must have a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care and current First Aid Certificate
  • An understanding and commitment to the provision of truly person centred care
  • Understanding of WHS and infection control principles
  • An understanding of residents' changing care needs and how this translates in AN-ACC reviews
  • Computer literacy and experience with documentation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • National NDIS Workers Screening Check
