Longreach Recruitment are privileged to be exclusively partnering with a progressive local authority who manage one of the most significant property portfolios in the Perth.

They have developed a Land Asset Action Plan and aim to diversify revenue through investment acquisitions, council funded developments and development partnerships.

The existing projects include land subdivision, multi storey mix business sites, commercial, childcare and industrial properties


This local council has over 223,000 residents, spanning over 30 suburbs, the city is a cosmopolitan, multicultural and economic hub.

With over 1,400 employees, the city embraces its diverse workforce by supporting work-life balance and offering opportunities for progression and development.

They are now seeking an experienced Development Manager to join their team on a
full-time basis. This role will handle a multitude of tasks and will benefit working with a professional and friendly team. Your role will include the below tasks and responsibilities.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the development lifecycle, including financial aspects, approvals, sales & marketing, construction, landscaping, presentation, and customer service.
  • Lead and manage a project team of consultants and contractors to ensure the delivery of highquality residential developments within agreed time and budget constraints.
  • Manage all elements of the project feasibility model, including regular updates and monitoring financial metrics.
  • Prepare regular project reports for management, joint venture partners, financiers, and other stakeholders to provide insights on development progress and necessary actions.
To be successful you will have the below qualification.

  • Tertiary level qualification in Property or related discipline or considerable demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a Development Management role, with a total of at least 5 years of relevant experience (including roles such as Assistant Development Manager or Project Manager.
  • Previous experience in Local Government coupled with knowledge of the Local Government Act
  • National Police Clearance (under 3 months).
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • You will be a natural problem solver and have a high attention to detail.
