AC Hargreaves is a Brisbane based organisation who specialise in the supply, rewinding and refurbishment of Electric Motors, Pumps, and Transformers.

We service a wide range of industries including mining, food processing, manufacturing, transportation and the energy sector.


Due to our continued growth, we currently have a position available for a Electric Motor Repair Apprenticeship - Fitter & Turner (MEM30205).


Skill requirement

  • Good comprehension of mathematics and English
  • Enthusiastic and reliable
  • Quick learner with a keen eye for detail
  • Reliable transport and strong work ethic
  • Mechanically minded
  • Experience in hand and power tools
  • Junior and Mature age welcome to apply

Role Responsibilities of Fitter & Turners - As apprentice develops.

  • Repairing electric motor parts and wear surfaces
  • Overhauling mechanical equipment such as pumps and gearboxes.
  • Balancing shafts, rotors and impellers
  • Welding, grinding and cutting as required.
  • AC & DC motor overhauls and repairs as required.
  • Showing a high level of commitment to company procedures and safety.
  • Communicating with managers and supervisors.
