Our client is looking to hire a motivated and organised Payroll Manager with excellent attention to detail and extensive payroll experience in a complex organisation.


Your Area of Responsibilities:


Payroll duties:


Ensure all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes, and comply with relevant legislation.

Maintain and take complete ownership of the College's payroll database - Aurion, on a current and accurate basis.
Ensure regular checking and upkeep of records.
Assist employees with queries.
Create and maintain employee records, ensuring that employee costs are correctly coded and expensed within the designated cost centre.


HR duties:

Assist the HR manager with an overflow HR administration on an ad-hoc basis, including but not limited to:
Data input & record maintenance in HRIS system
Assist with People & Culture activities including recruitment, contract generation, leave management, employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes.

Maintain a good understanding of applicable awards and employment legislation and provide expert advice to the Director of People & Culture on award interpretation and changes.


Your Profile:

Extensive payroll experience.
Experience dealing with differing shift patterns, contracts and hours.
Experience with HRIS systems (preferably Aurion).
Working knowledge of Payroll reporting, including Census, Budget, Single Touch Payroll (STP), WGEA, FBT and Leave accruals/liabilities.
Experience in the administration of HR processes and some understanding of employment legislation.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Very strong written and verbal communication.
High level of proficiency with excel.
Any rem & bens experience would be highly regarded
