About the Company


Charterhouse are partnering with large statutory body, who are looking for a HR Advisor to support their people & culture team.

The role will report directly to the People & Culture Manager and you will be work closely with the General Manager, supporting various facilities.


The key areas of responsibility include providing hands on support across all aspects of People and Culture services to employees and managers across the organisation, such as talent management, onboarding, induction, learning & development, reporting, people and culture administration and employee relations.

This role is initially a temporary contract that could lead to a permanent position. It if a full-time role, Monday - Friday, however a 4 day week could be considered.

Initially you will be working in the office until you have familiarised yourself with the systems & will then transition into a hybrid work model.

Free onsite parking and close to public transport links trams and trains.


Your key responsibilities include:


  • Participate in end to end recruitment processes, including recruitment and selection processes, offers of employment
  • Assist with tracking the onboarding and probationary period of new employees
  • Provide advice to Managers on recruitment strategies
  • Coordinate onboarding processes, including preemployment checks inline with relevant legislative frameworks
  • Support the development and implementation of reward and recognition programs across the organisation
  • Coach and advise managers in P&C and business matters, including grievances, formal complaint management and disciplinary matters
  • Work to resolve conflict in the first instance within role and functional limits; escalate where appropriate
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance investigations, ensuring adherence to organisational policies and legislative requirements
  • Assist with the delivery of organisational development solutions and learning and development programs to ensure work practices are consistent and integrated
  • Maintain all current HRIS systems and ensure all information is up to date
  • Other adhoc & project work as required

You will have the following:


  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or related discipline) and previous experience in a similar role working on talent management and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework in which employee relations operates
  • Experience with HRIS systems and implementation management
  • Excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
  • A warm, collaborative and consultative style
