Key Responsibilities:


  • Efficiently handle purchasing parts and consumables for production and spare parts, ensuring timely availability and costeffectiveness.
  • Utilise excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers, establish beneficial partnerships, and secure competitive deals.
  • Demonstrate professional phone mannerisms while engaging with stakeholders and addressing purchasing and inventory management inquiries.
  • Leverage your equipment/manufacturing background to optimise inventory levels and ensure seamless production processes.
  • Benefit from your experience with SAP or similar systems as you adapt to our specific system through provided training.
  • Utilise Word and Excel to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Streamline procurement procedures and enhance efficiency based on previous purchasing experience.
  • Collaborate effectively in a small team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Showcase selfmotivation and organisational skills to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist other departments or areas when necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, focusing on production and spare parts.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous background in equipment manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment.
  • Selfmotivated and wellorganised with excellent time management skills.
  • High adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the railway industry.
