Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently handle purchasing parts and consumables for production and spare parts, ensuring timely availability and costeffectiveness.
Utilise excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers, establish beneficial partnerships, and secure competitive deals.
Demonstrate professional phone mannerisms while engaging with stakeholders and addressing purchasing and inventory management inquiries.
Leverage your equipment/manufacturing background to optimise inventory levels and ensure seamless production processes.
Benefit from your experience with SAP or similar systems as you adapt to our specific system through provided training.
Utilise Word and Excel to maintain accurate records and reports.
Streamline procurement procedures and enhance efficiency based on previous purchasing experience.
Collaborate effectively in a small team environment to achieve common goals.
Showcase selfmotivation and organisational skills to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist other departments or areas when necessary.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, focusing on production and spare parts.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous background in equipment manufacturing is advantageous.
Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well in a small team environment.
Selfmotivated and wellorganised with excellent time management skills.
High adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the railway industry.
