(Level B) $107,276 to $126,894 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies. Clinical loading may also apply.

Year 1 Professionalism and Leadership Coordinator, Adelaide Medical School.

Fixed term, part time position (0.2FTE) available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.


The Adelaide Medical School provides an innovative and collaborative research and teaching environment, located primarily in the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building on North Terrace.


Based at the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences, this Lecturer role will be responsible for coordinating and teaching into the Professionalism and Leadership Domain of a Year 1 undergraduate medical program.

The specific learning areas involve patient-centred healthcare, communication skills, clinical ethics, law and regulation, employability (self-management, teamwork and leadership) and digital health (innovation).


The incumbent will also be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and developing teaching activities relevant to the Professionalism and Leadership Domain for year 1 (Foundations of Medicine and Medical Studies 1).
  • Creating assessments specific to Professionalism and Leadership.
  • Updating all year 1 Professionalism and Leadership content on the MyUni learning platform.
  • Delivering lectures and facilitating workshops on Professionalism and Leadership content for year
  • Contributing to the creation of integrated assessments.
  • Contributing to the marking of Professionalism and Leadership and integrated assessments
  • Recruitment and support of Professionalism and Leadership tutors.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in working in Australia as a doctor, or as a registered health professional in a multidisciplinary team that includes medical practitioners.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at a tertiary level.
  • Proven ability to contribute successfully to a multidisciplinary work environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
