What you'll be doing
There are 2 positions for an unaccredited trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Medical officers in the Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are responsible for the care of patients, under the supervision of Visiting Medical Officers, Staff Specialists and Academic Staff.

Each Unaccredited Trainee can spend up to six months at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and up to 6 months at Canterbury Hospital.

One position will be up until 5th November, 2023:


  • One position will be from 5th June, 2023 until 3rd June 2024

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum 3 years ( full time or equivalent) postgraduate experience including recent supervised clinical work at a teaching hospital with level V neonatal facilities and tertiary referral Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with women and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, organise and meet multiple demands and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake selfdirected learning.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to participate in a teaching program and ability to conduct research.
