About the Role:


The Sustainable Urban Communities Coordinator will:

  • Work collaboratively with internal staff and external stakeholders to ensure that urban nature resources management (NRM) issues and priorities are considered in adaptation and community capacity building planning processes.
  • Coordinate urban greening and resilient communities projects that will increase the capacity of communities and stakeholder to sustainably manage urban natural resources in the Green Adelaide Region
  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, in particular local government and environmental NGOs and diverse communities to effectively coordinate projects and outcomes.

Contract:

1 Year, Full Time Contract


Desirable Qualifications:

An appropriate tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental science, community development or equivalent is high desirable.


Special Conditions:


  • May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties
  • A current class "C" driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.
  • May require some intra/interstate travel
  • Will be required to work out of hours

Remuneration:

ASO6, $97,022 min - $102,626 max p.a.
