The Role


Reporting to the Director, the Executive Manager - Relationship Support Services is a pivotal senior leadership role at Centacare, overseeing the delivery of outreach and office-base services to support individuals, families and children.


The Relationship Support Services (RSS) unit provides a range of specialty counselling, mediation, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and community programs across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.


Many of these services have a long history and have been instrumental in shaping Centacare's reputation for achieving high-quality outcomes for clients and communities.


This position will suit an accomplished and astute executive with the strategic thinking, leadership, financial acumen, communication and negotiation skills necessary for success.


What you need to bring

Essential

  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in leadership and management, social work, psychology, counselling or a related field
  • Experience in leadership and business management
  • Understanding of counselling programs such as Employee Assistance Program (EAP), family dispute resolution and mediation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of programs
  • Experience in change management
  • Highlevel financial acumen and experience managing budgets
  • Ability to lead successful tenders and grant submissions
  • Experience in sourcing new business opportunities
  • Dynamic interpersonal, leadership and consultative skills
  • Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as 'Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance')
  • Outofhours work and regional travel required

Desirable

  • Experience using Penelope electronic client management system
  • Management experience in a notforprofit setting
  • Membership with a relevant professional association (eg Australian Counselling Association or Australian Association of Social Workers)
