About the role

We are seeking a Superintendent Fixed Plant Operations to lead, mentor, and nurture the members of the Fixed Plant Operations team and our Greater Nammuldi Operations. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the team is well-prepared to achieve success in alignment with business objectives and the seamless, safe execution of operational tasks.

Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant, you will receive support in your endeavors to consistently enhance our processes, cost-effectiveness, and operational capacity throughout the operation. Your duties will include:

Emphasizing the maintenance and enhancement of a robust safety culture across the site
Guiding and coaching an Operations team, comprising frontline supervisors, coordinators, and operators
Steering the operations team in identifying and controlling asset risks, ensuring appropriate work-life balance for SOP and asset integrity
Ensuring that the operational teams inspect the asset and deliver in line with Rio Tinto best practices to optimize productivity and equipment reliability
Cultivating a culture of continuous enhancement, assisting the team in implementing improvement initiatives and technological advancements
Creating, tracking, and managing approved budgets to provide cost-effective services meeting business requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant legislative provisions

Where you'll be working

Situated 60km northwest of Tom Price, Brockman is fully owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Established in 2010, this open-pit operation provides a family-friendly fly-in-fly-out schedule.

The Greater Brockman Operations encompass Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi, and Silvergrass. Pioneering the latest technological innovations, the open-pit mines present possibilities for development and career advancement.
