Are you a forward thinking Operations Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client is currently seeking a versatile, out of the box thinker to lead a Traffic Management team in the Maitland and Newcastle areas.

This position will be
full time and based at our Newcastle Branch. The role offers an attractive remuneration package, plus a fully maintained vehicle, laptop and phone.


About the Role:


Reporting directly to the General Manager, our client has an exciting opportunity for a committed, passionate, and experienced leader in Traffic Management.

You will be required to effectively manage our operations across the Hunter and Central Coast regions in conjunction with being pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of our services in these regions.


Your leadership and expertise will drive the success of our day-to-day coordination of operational deliverables including; Project planning, resourcing, compliance, stakeholder relationships, and guidance for our field-based employees.


You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our client's organisation's growth and continued reputation in the industry.


Duties of the Role Include:


  • Manage the daytoday operations of the division.
  • Lead the team by championing a culture of safety, integrity, and exceeding expectations inline with our company values
  • Daily engagement and interaction with client representatives, and Traffic Control team.
  • Direct and coordinate effective planning, scheduling, and allocating of resources
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies, procedures, and transport regulations.
  • Coaching employees on company policies, expectations and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records within business operating systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, driving efficiency enhancements and innovative approaches to traffic management.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, toolboxes, and presentations for staff and management.

Skills and Experience:


  • Proven experience in Traffic Management Operations and Planning
  • Traffic Control Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, and leading diverse teams
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance, coupled with a deep understanding of industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to lead teams in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience with business software and systems
  • Ability to prepare and deliver operational reports and toolboxes
