ABOUT THE BRANCH, SECTION & TEAM


The Communications Branch is responsible for the whole-of-government coordination of advertising campaigns including governance, procurement arrangements and campaign development support.

It also provides advice and assistance on the department's internal and external communication activities, including management of key intranet and external websites.


The Web Services Team provides content management and development support for Finance's corporate website, intranet, and ministerial websites, as well as several bespoke websites.

This support includes web content design, management and publishing, website building, security patching and updates, analytics, and advice.


The Team manages and advises stakeholders on website best practice and solutions and oversees and implements website enhancements and updates.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**Reporting to the Director of Corporate Engagement, the Content Manager, Web Services (EL1) is responsible for the management and enhancement of content across ten websites, including the Finance intranet.

  • You will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You will use your writing expertise to implement and maintain processes to regularly review and update content across the sites managed by the Web Services Team, ensuring consistency in tone of voice and adhering to the government style manual.
  • You will lead a small team that will undertake content audits for various projects including identifying content updates, repurpose, and/or archiving.
  • You will have excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills and be able to work with business areas and your colleagues in Web Services and Corporate Engagement, to produce effective and engaging online experiences for users.
  • You will manage the maintenance of documentation, guidance materials, checklists, and processes, ensuring they are fitforpurpose and assist with the delivery of tasks and activities which are focussed on continuous improvement of these sites and customerfacing processes.
  • You will be innovative and have an understanding of the latest technologies that are being used for website content design, to ensure that UX is optimised.
