About the role:

Within this role, you will be expected to perform direct care duties with compassion and professionalism


These duties may include:

  • Assistance with daily hygiene (showering, dressing, toilet)
  • Assistance in meal preparation and shopping
  • Supervision of medication
  • Daily activities such as washing or cleaning
  • Transporting to appointments
  • Facilitating community participation and inclusion
  • Providing companionship and support
  • Prompting positive routines and behaviors in a cooperative and respective manner

Essential for the role:


  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant Or be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements) _
    or willingness to obtain_

Highly Desirable

  • Psychosocial Disability Experience with conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar, BPD, Autism, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's.

Additionally, you will require:


  • COVID vaccinations
  • Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Roadworthy/Comprehensively insured vehicle and valid Driver's License
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (DHS Disability Service Employment Check)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Clearance Check (not older than 3 years)
  • Australian work rights
  • 100 points proof of ID
  • Manual Handling
  • Flexible availability (days, weekends, and sleepovers)
  • Immediate Start
