Description

The Transport Manager is ultimately responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of the transport at our different customer sites.

In this role you will be responsible for meeting our commitment to our customer through the provision of quality service and operational efficiency.

Working in collaboration with our people, every decision you make will be driven by safety, service and cost, partnering closely with customer and sub-contracting companies to achieve and exceed operational and financial metrics.

You will also take ownership to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives, train and develop staff and adhere to Expert Express policies and procedures.

• Promoting a safetyfirst culture and ensuring commitment to Safety, COR and Quality requirements at all times
• Operational responsibility with a focus on driving improvement and innovation
• Effective management and development of direct reports and driver workforce to provide efficiency
• Analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilization, route optimization and subcontractor management
• Ensure the operation is providing superior service offerings to customers through a proactive approach to relationship management and commitment to achieving contracted KPI's
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement
