You will support an agile squad in the Join value stream, which has a mission to empower customers to join and interact with ANZ Plus effortlessly, with high levels of trust, and putting them in control of their identity.


As a Business Analyst / Journey Expert, your role is crucial in helping ANZ Plus build and develop the propositions that customers love.


This role will sit within the Manage & Share episode and will focus on building and enhancing our digital identity capability and getting involved in government and industry schemes.

It's a very fast paced environment so no two days will be the same.

As well as the normal business analyst / journey expert responsibilities of eliciting and defining user stories, managing squad backlogs, working with delivery teams and product owners you will also:

Support the agile delivery of mobile apps | web | APIs and integrations with our talented engineers.

Work with internal Legal, Change, Risk, Technology, Security Partners to ensure control sets are developed and monitored.

Learn from your peers and share what you know whilst contributing to our high performing business analyst culture.

What will your day look like

We build robust squads so the ability to wear multiple hats when needed is essential. The team will look up to you for direction and guidance as they tackle new propositions.


Your key accountabilities include:
Working with your squad, other episode teams and business services to define and deliver a radically improved Join experience

Supporting PO and CX/UX designers in proposition development, bringing a data-driven mentality

Breaking down propositions into a delivery roadmap of features, deliverables, and epics, starting with the thinnest slice first, to facilitate continuous delivery and enhancements

Work with your squad to facilitate collaboration sessions, define user stories and support the overall delivery of the proposition

Managing risk and control assessments as feature process design evolves

Managing operational and feature readiness; working with all stakeholders to ensure end to end feature delivery readiness and endorsements

Supporting product governance requirements

Monitoring and reviewing in-market features, building intimacy and metrics on how customers use these features and identifying areas of improvements/opportunities

Contributing to the 'test & learn' culture within the squad, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality, and documentation.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring the following:
Proven ability to define, develop and deploy complex, technically focused mobile propositions into production and into customer's hands

Proven history of delivery on Mobile / Digital platforms

  • 3 years agile delivery experience, such as authoring of User stories (BDD), requirements gathering and release activities
Extensive experience working within cross-functional, agile, or continuous delivery teams

Ability to explore customer needs in a data-driven way, develop and implement innovative solutions, test the outcomes, and iterate

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels

A desire to continuously learn new techniques and technologies, bringing innovative ideas into the Squad

Proven experience/background in the delivery of one of the episodes will be looked upon favourably.
