YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:


The Commercial Analyst of GroupM will assist the Commercial Manager in providing commercial analysis, cost modelling, financial reporting and insights which allow our businesses to succeed and grow.


This includes, but is not limited to, monthly, quarterly, year-end reporting and business analysis in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with IFRS reporting and SOX Compliance.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS:

Commercial finance teams, People teams, Investment teams, Shared service teams and various other internal stakeholders. Exposure to some external clients and suppliers.


WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:

  • Adherence to revenue recognition in accordance with agency policy, SOX policy and client contracts, including actioning accruals and deferrals.
  • Prepare end of month revenue calculation templates.
  • Ensure all intercompany recharges are actioned and according to intercompany deadlines.
  • Complete all true up calculations on recharges.
  • Prepare and maintain the live resource file for GroupM.
  • Manage the centrally held budgets and quarterly reconciliation.
  • Manage transfer pricing recharge arrangements.
  • Coordinate and finalise all necessary month end reports i.e. Revenue variance commentary, Credit Note Summary, Invoice Summary, User access reviews.
  • Provide assistance to internal stakeholders on PO creation as well as monitoring departmental budgets alongside the Commercial Manager.
  • Liaise with accounts receivables to resolve any debtor queries.
  • Preparation of monthly JCR review and WIP reports.
  • Ensure all jobs are uptodate and reconciled on a timely basis in accordance with group policies.
  • Working with master data management team in managing client and supplier setups and amendments.
  • Provide assistance on global reporting including billings analysis as well as ad hoc queries where required.
  • Assist on projects with the Commercial Manager.

  • Confident communicator who can work effectively with all levels in an organisation, right up to C suite level.

EXPERIENCE:

COMPETENCIES:
  • Very strong understanding of Excel and the standard Microsoft business suite.
  • Degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA or CA qualified/ studying towards qualification.
