Job description:
An Experienced Test Analyst is required to join a Brisbane-based government department on a contract until 27th October month extension.
As a Software Test Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert testing services to ensure the delivery of high-quality and accurate software releases.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop test plans, execute test cases, and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
Your role will contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices and support the overall success of software releases.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain quality managed test documentation, including test plans, test data, test cases, test scripts, defect and issue reports, and expected results.
- Conduct peer reviews of test cases for accuracy, completeness, and traceability to business and functional requirements.
- Analyse and log incidents/defects using appropriate defect management tools.
- Assist in defect rectification, retesting, and test reporting.
- Stay uptodate with industry knowledge of software testing and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Provide testing advice and support to team members and colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing, mentoring, and skills transfer.
- Participate in planning and review processes, team meetings, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Safeguard sensitive and highlevel information in accordance with departmental and organisational policies, particularly regarding the confidentiality and privacy of information.
- Undertake additional testing or workrelated tasks assigned by the Senior Test Analyst.
