ABOUT THE ROLE:


Summary of the role:


You will work closely with the management team at Mercy Health Albury to ensure that that safety management systems are working effectively.

The role will be supported by the Work Health and Safety Team who work across all areas of Mercy Health providing high quality safety expertise.


  • This is a permanent role that can work flexibly part time (1 day per week)
  • You will be located at Mercy Health Albury
  • You will be responsible for coordinating health & safety activities within the facility ensuring identification and control of hazards, prevention of injuries to staff and the maintenance of safe environment.
  • You will assist with the implementation of management system to ensure the facility is maintaining a safe working environment.
  • You will be involved in developing and reviewing procedures manuals and related documentation.
  • You will also work closely with stakeholders to ensure completion of required training and education activities

ABOUT YOU:

- _ You have or are working towards a tertiary safety qualification_
- _ You have a high standard of verbal and written communication skills_
- _ You are very organised and able to manage multiple projects and activities_
- _ you have experience developing and implementing safety initiatives_
- _ you are keen to work closely with our Safety Team, Health Services managers and our staff_
