Planning and Land Use Services (PLUS) is a division within DTI.

This includes strategic planning, growth management, design and land use services - all with a focus on creating more vibrant, diverse and engaging places for our communities to thrive.


PLUS is committed to delivering key reform initiatives that enhance the SA planning system and help to provide solutions relating to housing diversity and population growth.

Its focus on innovation has already delivered the first state-wide ePlanning platform in Australia. PLUS is now extending this digital footprint with the first 100% digitised, dynamic, and interactive Regional Planning Program.


The Role:


The primary purpose of the Communications and Engagement Specialist is to deliver effective strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities to support the successful delivery of Planning and Land Use Services (PLUS) projects to a diverse set of stakeholder groups.


The position will work closely with the Planning Directorate to support successful delivery of enhancements to the Planning and Design Code and the delivery of the Regional Planning Program, including Greater Adelaide Regional Plan.

Collaboratively, we will set the direction for how we live and work across the state and what our communities will look like into the future.


About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Significant experience in stakeholder communications and engagement.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop collaborative and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, internal and external to government.
  • Contemporary knowledge of current theory and best practice in stakeholder communication and engagement, including an appreciation of the various ways technology can optimise engagement.
  • High level organisational skill and proven ability to determine priorities, cope effectively with high volumes of work and to meet deadlines.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

ASO6 - $97,022 min - $102,626 max
