About the role
The Legal Practice Manager manages a team of staff that provides administration and support services to meet the requirements of all units within the Legal Services Directorate.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the Directorate's budget including forecasting and procurement
- Identify financial risks and design strategies to mitigate impact on business deliverables
- Support the delivery of a wide range of administrative work
- Lead and provide input on the implementation of business workflows and processes
- Manage a small team and train staff to delivery efficient and timely administrative support to the Directorate
- Review systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness business service delivery
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess a great blend of skills, including:
- Proven experience in budgeting and generating of financial reports
- Passion, enthusiasm, resilience, and multitasking to thrive in an agile and adaptive environment
- Prioritising and sound judgment in organising your own work to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to influence team members to embrace and utilise new technologies to improve business processes
- A customer centric and growth mindset with strong decisionmaking skills as well as have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
