Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.

We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.


Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity


We currently have an exciting opportunity in the Women's and Babies Division as Associate Midwife / Nurse Unit Manager (Maternal Fetal medicine)
- in a
Part Time (0.74FTE) - Temporary (until 7 March 2025) capacity.


As an Associate Midwife / or Nurse Unit Manager Maternal Fetal Medicine Service (AMUM MFM) you will be responsible and accountable for providing nursing/midwifery services and the provision of quality patient centred care to women and their babies at a proficient to expert level.


About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Registered Nurse & / or Midwife (with a current practicing certificate) with at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines
  • Experience in the supervision of Assistants in Nursing & or Midwifery, Student Nurses & / or Midwives, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses & / or Midwives.
  • Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
