About the Role

As part of BOQ Group, an opportunity exists within our People and Culture Divison as Partner (BEAR and Operational Risk).

This permanent opportunity is an important function as we continue to develop our governance risk profile across the Group.

This role will support Accountability Regime activities across BOQ Group, and operational risk management activities within People & Culture, specifically:

  • Support delivery of BOQ Group's Accountability Regime program
  • Line 1 operational risk partner responsibilities for People & Culture
  • Support implementation of key requirements of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF)
  • Support implementation of the risk requirements detailed in the Outsourcing and Procurement policies
  • Bring a commercial / pragmatic lens to managing operational risk
  • Prepare reports, in partnership with Line 2, for People & Culture's divisional risk committee
  • Lead the delivery of operational risk awareness training sessions and initiatives within People & Culture

About you

Knowledge required for success in the role

  • Extensive knowledge and proven deep experience of operational risk management frameworks, supporting standards, processes and practices
  • Strong understanding of the Banking Executive Accountability Regime/Financial Accountability Regime and APRA Prudential Standards such as CPS 220, CPS 510, CPS 520

Key skills required for success in the role

  • Deep operational risk management skills as detailed above
  • Extensive people skills to work collaboratively, supporting each other while achieving results timely and with high quality
  • Strong expertise in effective communication, influencing and negotiation across various levels
  • Ability to drive positive risk culture behaviours, actions and awareness
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external teams
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise work to manage conflicting deadlines
