Purpose of the Role
This role is for our nbn Unify Services Project.

The NSW Regional Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the supervision and management of day-to-day operations of project field personnel to ensure compliance with the Service Level Agreement and key performance indicators while providing technical guidance and support to the field supervisors, employees and contractors within the nbn contract under a fully managed service model.


This position will include ensuring conformance of the field workforce to HSE & Quality implementation and all processes, procedures and policies in line with BSA values.


Position Responsibilities

  • Always uphold BSA Absolutes and Safety as number one priority in all aspects of daytoday activities and implement proactive/reactive measures based off infield scenarios to ensure key focus on safety
  • Responsible for the health and safety adherence and BSA requirements for the effective functioning of the field operations
  • Manage BSA Safety leadership auditing program including BSA Absolutes walk the talks along with audit the auditor programs
  • Ensure field Supervisor safety audits are completed to set KPIs, any misses / failed audits captured & closed within timeframes and actioned via Performance Management Program
  • Ensure toolboxes and stop for safety days (as required) are organised and conducted regularly
  • Compile, collate and create toolbox content in conjunction with the relevant departments for delivery at toolboxes or stop for safety day, ensuring these are delivered through the appropriate channels to the field workforce
  • Initiate, participate and engage with key stakeholders via meetings to ensure the smooth functioning of the field operations including but not limited to:
  • HSE
  • Quality & Logistics
  • Complaints
  • Compliance and Onboarding
  • Planning and Capacity
  • Claims and Invoicing
  • NBN planning
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of State
  • Simplex Operations in regard to operational activities and progress on a regular or asneeded basis
  • Implement costeffective strategies to manage technician mobilisation including LAFHA for contractors and employees
  • Lead business rules and artefacts process training and communication to maintain set targets in claims success
  • Oversee day to day operations of BSA Field Supervisors and Technicians and contractors in specific region / particular project
  • Forecast requirements and manage BSA Field Supervisors, Technicians and contractors in specific region / particular project
  • Manage the performance of Field Supervisors in line with BSA business objectives and in a way leads to improvements in technician and employee engagement, job satisfaction and consistent behaviors across the department
  • Ensure compliance to set policies to satisfy client's Service Level Agreement
  • Arrange training of field supervisory personnel, field employees and contractors in specific regions / particular project to minimise issues and skill gaps within the field workforce
  • Provide solutions to more complex technical problems
  • Communicate with clients on behalf of BSA
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and suppliers in order to improve business relationships
  • Other duties related to field activity both externally and internally as required

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in a Field Management related work environment.
  • Certificate III in Telecommunications
  • Licences, tickets and other qualifications as required
  • In depth knowledge of all NBN technologies i.e., FTTX
  • HFC etc.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business management or a related discipline (desirable but not essential)
