The opportunity
Designed to world-class standards and adopting sustainability objectives in all parts of its operations, our Pulp and Paper mill in Tumut produces high-quality Kraft Paper for both domestic and international markets - it is where the magic begins


We have a great opportunity for an experienced, solutions focused Supervisor, to join our fast paced and dynamic engineering team in Tumut.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance & Fire Systems Engineer, this integral position will be responsible for planning & supervision of maintenance of the site buildings, roads, fire systems and infrastructure


Your typical day includes but is not limited to:

  • Implement program for Site hazard identification & safety improvements
  • Supervise Site Maintenance team (2x tradespeople)
  • Manage & supervise facilities contractors and service providers (arrange quotes, estimate builder, purchase requisitions etc)
  • Prepare the weekly work schedule for Site Maintenance
  • Liaise with area managers and operations to ensure access, permits, coordination and any other work access requirements
  • Supervision of Major Shut Shutdown (MSD) site setup & equipment hire
  • Afterhours breakdown support and rectification for Site & Facilities equipment.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Tertiary qualified or trade background
  • 3 years' minimum experience in facilities maintenance in a continuous process environment (preferably within Paper, Steel, Mining, FMCG, Heavy industries, Civil & Construction)
  • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, CMMS or ERP systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in delivering work to scope according to schedule and budget
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of HSE requirements including permits
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities.


This plant operates on a 24/7 day basis and you will need to be flexible to work additional hours as required including being on our call out roster.
