Your new role:


Reporting to the BoM Integration Manager, the material Demand Officer will maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) databases relating to supply chain material demand.


More specifically, you will:


  • Assure and control the quality of BOM and BOQ Material demand data
  • Liaise with engineering to record and understand material requirements
  • Ensure advance BoMs are created and material demand is in place for all required materials in line with ship build
  • Ensure all BOM and BOQ databases are updated with latest supply chain, planning and engineering data
  • Ensure quality of data in BOM/BOQ databases relating to supply chain/planning information
  • Point of contact for all stakeholder regarding material demand and supply chain data held in the BOM/BOQ
  • Liaise closely with the Hunter Class Frigates domains to resolve and mitigate material issues
  • Maintain supply chain elements of the Parts catalogue
  • Maintain and report progress of materials management
  • Monitor and analyse PDM and ERP databases

About you:


As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Extensive knowledge in the use of PTC Windchill, Aveva ERM or equivalents
  • Proficient in MS Office packages
  • Demonstrate understanding of material demand process
  • Well organised, thorough and professional approach, together with a high degree of motivation, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • An ability to show initiative, prioritise and drive to deliver against customer requirements
  • Strong collaborative communicator with a 'Self
  • Starter' attitude and the ability to engage and influence effectively within a wide range of external/internal stakeholders and customers
Whilst not essential, Qualification in Engineer, Supply Chain, Materials Management or Relevant Industry Experience is desirable.

Clearances:


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
