Development Assessment Planner

South Western Sydney - Shire Council

Full-time - Permanent Role


Responsibilities:


  • Provide advice to stakeholders on the development assessment process and requirements.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for presentation to council and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
  • Undertake site inspections and liaise with applicants, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to development assessment.
  • Provide input into the development of planning policies, strategies, and guidelines.

Requirements:


  • Degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in development assessment or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant planning legislation, policies, and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with planning software and technology.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
