Development Assessment Planner

South Western Sydney - Shire Council

Full-time - Permanent Role

Responsibilities:

Provide advice to stakeholders on the development assessment process and requirements.
Prepare reports and recommendations for presentation to council and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Undertake site inspections and liaise with applicants, architects, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to development assessment.
Provide input into the development of planning policies, strategies, and guidelines.

Requirements:

Degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in development assessment or a related field.
Knowledge of relevant planning legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Experience with planning software and technology.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
