Team Overview


Sales Support & Bid Management is part of the Sales organisation and supports business development and marketing activities related to the growth targets.


The team plays an integral role in managing/coordinating RFPs/RFIs and the process supporting the engagement including internal briefings; coordinating the response; client meetings; workshops etc., all to support winning new business.

This can include working with other businesses within SS&C.
The team also supports this process for existing clients, alongside the Client Relationship team in support of retaining business.


Position Overview
SS&C Technologies is looking for a full time Sydney based Sales Support Manager.

You will be part of a team that is building the company, by playing a key role in supporting the Sales team throughout the whole sales cycle and managing the completion of all activities supporting prospective client and new business opportunities for the GIDS business.

This position will primarily focus on the RFP/RFI engagement process and the surrounding/supporting activities, working in partnership with the
Sales team and the relevant external parties, alongside the internal response teams including,
Change, IT, Operations, Compliance, Client Relationship and Senior Executives.


You will be managing a small team to ensure there is a robust governance process to manage the sales pipeline and delivery of high quality, professional output to all stakeholders; internal and external, whether that's reporting or responses to RFPs/RFIs/DDQs.


  • Manage the new business process for prospect clients and industry consultants on behalf of prospect clients
  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with the prospect client/consultant
  • Ensure the sales governance disciplines are fit for purpose and followed by the Sales team; attending/facilitating and recording meetings as needed
  • Work with all areas of the business as necessary to support the definition of the required system solution and business model
  • Manage the response to RFI/RFP documents and any other similar requests ensuring a high quality, professional response within the deadlines and ensuring specific format requirements are met
  • Delivery of a highquality, accurate response within the set deadlines
  • Ensure response database tool, (Loopio), is regularly reviewed and contains uptodate responses
  • Own/build relationships across the business and with external parties
  • Support the Sales team throughout the engagement
  • Manage the coordination, preparation and execution of prospect site visits as required, including presentation materials
  • Provide accurate weekly information to the Sales team and key stakeholders in relation to the sales pipeline and upcoming new prospects
  • Maintain the sales support tool, (Hubspot), to ensure the data is accurate and relevant information is being used for reporting

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience within the UK and AU financial services market, with a preferred detailed product understanding of the Asset Management, Wealth Management and/or Life and Superannuation sector
  • A selfmotivated, qualitydriven individual
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Good planning skills, with experience of meeting deadlines
  • Commercial and client focussed with good influencing skills
  • Good oral, written and presentation skills
  • An understanding of the sales process
  • Good product understanding of industry and regulatory developments
  • Flexible and able to set own priorities
  • Analytical but flexible with pragmatic problemsolving approach and capability to 'think out of the box'
  • Experience of working in a sales, consultancy, or business process outsourcing environment

Salary:
$120, $130,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • SYDNEY, NSW 2000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
