MQ Health is seeking an experienced, motivated and dynamic manager to lead our team at Macquarie Medical Imaging in the provision of high-quality reception and administrative support services.

THE ROLE- Full-time position available on a permanent basis as Customer Service Manager- Attractive remuneration with access to Maxxia (Salary Packaging) to maximise your take home pay- North Ryde location at Macquarie University Hospital

The Role

MQ Health is seeking an innovative and dynamic manager to join our team at Macquarie Medical Imaging.

This role will adopt and lead the provision of high-quality reception and administrative support services for our busy Medical Imaging practice.

Through your leadership, you will manage a well skilled administration team to ensure the patient's experience of care is of a high quality, consistent and professional.

You will be use to working closely with Clinical Discipline Heads and Imaging Operations Managers, in providing professional management and supervision of the day to day operations of the practice.


Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Manage day to day needs and team dynamics of reception, administration and other health staff including ensuring adequate staff coverage for all clinic sessions.
  • Supervise and manage clinic administrative and reception staff to develop a high-performing patient centred team.
  • Manage daily business and administrative operations of the practice to ensure they are efficient, patient-focused and consistent.
  • Organise clinical schedule in EMR system to ensure smooth and consistent patient bookings.
  • Assist with managing patient flow at all clinic sessions and coordinate with Macquarie University Hospital for procedures to be coordinated through the Angiography Suite.
  • Assist with clinic projects and general administration of office duties as directed by the Imaging Operations Manager or clinicians.
  • Liaise with other practices, hospitals and allied health professionals to acquire comprehensive patient information and provide exceptional patient coordination.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your resume and a brief 1-2-page cover letter:

  • Previous experience working in an outpatient medical practice. Experience in in Radiology will translate well.
  • Demonstrated experience using Radiology Information Systems (such as Comrad).
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff and driving a good dynamic, working effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in developing partnerships, eliciting cooperation and working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Registration with, or eligible for registration with, a professional organisation such as the Australian Association of Practice Management or similar

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Insurance in Australia.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ Health.
