The role of Lead Planner will see you working as part of the Divisional Project Controls Team on a PERMANENT full time basis, based here in our Perth Office in Victoria Park. You will provide input, guidance, and recommendations to pre-contracts and project execution teams for all planning activities including schedule development, schedule execution and claims development. You will also have regular interaction with other disciplines including the contracts and commercial teams, while managing the correct application of company procedures and processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and leverage formal and informal high-performing partnerships within the organisation
Provide a high level of planning support to business units and projects, driving a culture of excellence
Own and implement planning systems to support the effective execution of projects
Train project teams in the use of systems and associated tools, controls and techniques
Provide guidance in the development of tender schedules, project baseline schedules and project reports
Review project schedules during execution for mitigation of risk and maximising opportunity
Perform Earned Value analysis of the projects and make recommendations
Provide expertise in Delay Analysis and EOT support.
Develop and retain skills and knowledge across the function through participation in onboarding and training
Identify, plan and manage functional initiatives to support continuous improvement

What you will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline, quantity surveying or equivalent
Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior planning role
Expert in the operation of Primavera P6
Experienced with construction contractors in large-scale multi-discipline projects particularly in Materials Handling, Process Plant, or Oil & Gas environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
You acquire a methodical approach, and high attention to detail
Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media
