Supporting our Executive Manager of People & Culture you will be assisting in the implementation of robust policies and procedures that align with the strategic development of the organisation.


Based at our head office in Eagle Farm, Brisbane, you will be working Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate business needs.

Some travel may be required for meetings, training, or other work-related activities.

Your responsibilities will involve employee relations, industrial relations, administration, recruitment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and staff surveys.

Here's a snapshot of what you will be involved with.


Policy and Procedure Implementation


Collaborate with the Executive Manager of People & Culture to develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures that support the strategic goals of CMC.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations in all HR activities.


Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR)


Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Assist in managing ER/IR cases and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.


Administration
Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, contracts, and other relevant documentation.

Assist with HR administration tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, leave management, and HR reporting.


Recruitment and Selection

Staff Surveys
Coordinate and oversee staff surveys to gather feedback on employee engagement, satisfaction, and areas for improvement.


Analyse survey results and collaborate with the Executive Manager of People & Culture to develop action plans based on feedback.


Diversity and Inclusion
Support the development and implementation of initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within CMC.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of inclusivity and equality.


About you:

To join our talented team, you will need the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Proven experience working in a generalist HR role, with a focus on employee relations, industrial relations, and administration;
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, and best practices;
  • Experience in coordinating and analysing staff surveys, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback;
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles and experience in implementing related initiatives is desirable.
