- Parkville location**As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to our Day Procedure Unit at Melbourne Private Hospital.
Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD.
These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
Day Procedure Unit at Melbourne Private Hospital caters for a range of patients. This includes gastroenterology, EBUS and short stay day surgery patients. The Day Procedure Unit comprises of six admission/recovery bays and a single endoscopy/procedure room.As Endoscope Technician/CSSD Instrument Technician your responsibilities will include:
- Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
- Comply with AS/NZ standards , GENCA
- Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
- Report and document all quality activities
- Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
- Minimum 6 months experience
- Olympus reprocessing certificate (Advantageous) or familiarity with Olympus equipment
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy skills including MS office and various data bases An interest in promoting best practice patient care
