The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.


Duties
The Manager, Contracts, Policy and Compliance is accountable to Director, Financial and Procurement Services and is responsible for:

  • Overall delivery of goods and services contract management and formation functions across the Department
  • Oversight of Contract Operations Team, including the light vehicle fleet, stationery, travel and accommodation contract functions.
  • Managing the centralised procurement and strategic level finance policy, governance and compliance activities and reporting across Goods & Services and Construction procurement.


In addition, the Manager, Contracts, Policy and Compliance will be managing a team responsible for the delivery of a range of improvements related to Aboriginal procurement programs, projects and services.


Requirements:


Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Law, Project or Contract Management
  • Completion of Certificate IV of Government (Procurement and Contracting) or similar
The following are the technical capabilities required for the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in drafting briefings, reports, Ministerial correspondence and Cabinet
Submissions.

  • Exercise significant level of decision making and judgement.

Special Conditions
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.


Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months


Remuneration
MAS3 - $124,108 per annum
