Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Retail & Property Contracts Manager to join Campus Services and Procurement, Administrative Division.


The Retail & Property Contracts Manager is responsible for the prudent management, negotiation and administrative oversight of the University's portfolio of retail and property contracts, associated procurement and financial management processes, and retail and property leasing where directed.

The University's portfolio comprises retail and commercial leases, licences, management agreements, access deeds, phone tower licences and access easements across a range of property asset classes where QUT operates in the capacity of either Landlord or Tenant on reserve, freehold or leasehold land and buildings.

About the area


Retail and Commercial Operations' primary function is to provide on campus retail service and activities supporting teaching, learning, research and the student and staff experience.

This encompasses retail and commercial property leasing, strategy, retailer management, operations and liaison plus the management and administration of variety of off campus leasehold and freehold assets.


What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification, together with extensive relevant experience in retail and commercial property contracts management and services including leasing, operations, finance & budgeting.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills including strong verbal and written skills ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of business cases, recommendations and advice.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to productively manage workload task completion and outcomes-focussed deliverables that anticipate and exceed client expectations.
  • Proven experience in contributing to and maintaining a coherent team culture focused on continuous development and achieving team and organisational goals.
