About the role

  • Your new role as a Rail Construction Supervisor will see you initially working on Midland Station Cale Street (MSCS) project. The MSCS project will involve the design and construction of a new three platform station, commissioning and interconnection with existing freight and passenger rail line networks, as well as decommissioning and demolishing the existing 53yearold station.
  • The track scope relating to the Midland Station works is very interesting and involves Standard, Narrow and Dual Gauge track structures thoughtout
  • Support the Track Superintendent with all activities relating to the planning, management, and delivery of all track construction activities
  • Support the Track Superintendent with the logistics for procurement, deliveries and distribution of materials and equipment
  • Support the Track Superintendent in Coordination and administering Track engineering activities including site installation works to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with construction program, plans, designs, and specifications
  • Monitor progress construction activities for adherence to programme and report to the Track Superintendent as required
  • Manage and be accountable for the subcontractor(s) and site construction activities.

About you

  • Trades qualification and or competencies relevant to rail construction and maintenance activities
  • Minimum of 710 years' track construction experience
  • Knowledge of track construction specifications, standards, and drawings
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry standards
  • Working knowledge of rail construction project delivery of a similar nature
  • Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage a construction team(s)
  • Committed to team performance and operating to organizational values and objectives
