Make a difference with your culinary skills - Join us as a Kitchen Hand and help provide nourishing meals to those in need within our Homelessness Services.

The role you could play

  • You will successfully
  • Prepare food and serve within the correct time frame
  • Follow directions from the cook regarding portion control, cooking standards and wastage
  • Perform duties willingly and industriously to the satisfaction of the Cook, management, and residents
  • Serve dinner efficiently with residents served in an organised and systematic way
  • Following meals service, all washing, and cleaning duties are undertaken to ensure that the kitchen is clean, and all implements are washed and stored appropriately, and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Meals are prepared according to the menu, and all residents receive the allocated meals
  • All preparatory arrangements are made well before service time so that residents are able to partake in their meals in an organised manner
  • This is a casual position located at The Beacon, Northbridge. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level
  • You would ideally have
  • Experience in kitchen work, positive and helpful attitude, ability to take instructions
  • Level 1 National Certificate in Hospitality (Foundational skills)
  • A Current WA drivers
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check
