About the role:

You will be a highly regarded and motivated Clinical leader with significant expertise in leading clinical best practice.

Key outcomes of the position relate to updating and informing clinical practice, by monitoring and overseeing consistent best practice initiatives and client outcomes across all Home Care clinical areas including:

  • Reviewing Clinical policy and procedures
  • Monitoring Clinical assessments & reviews
  • Measure and identify clinical indicators
  • Provide monthly reports that trend and analyses clinical care
  • Delivering effective wound management and contemporary practice and tools
  • Establish mandatory competencies
  • Support the safe delivery of Dementia Care
  • Support the safe delivery of Palliative Care
  • Support the development of clinical education material
  • Facilitate learning and development opportunities
  • Ability to work with nonclinicians such as Case Mangers and Home Care Workers to increase their knowledge and focus

About you:

  • Current or previous experience as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar management role within health or aged care setting
  • Experience in developing clinical programs for people living with Dementia, Mental Health, Palliative care; wound management, continence management and/or other ageing associated diseases
  • Strong understanding of relevant quality and regulatory frameworks including the translation of these into practice e.g. to assist with the development of frameworks and policies & procedures
  • Supervisory experience in clinically supporting RNs, ENs, allied health staff and student placements (individual and group work)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of training material, including assessments and learning material
  • Delivery of high quality training services in health, aged care or community services or equivalent sectors (desirable)
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
