About the role


As the Contract and Vendor Management Lead you will be part of the ICT Business Management team and responsible for continuing the ongoing establishment and management of a mature, efficient and customer centric vendor management function.

Your main focus will be on extracting value for money, maintaining compliance for the ICT Branch's managed software assets, and building a vendor management framework that is transparent and effective.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish a high-performing, proactive ICT vendor and contract management function that works collaboratively and seamlessly across Council, ensuring balance across cost and risk and compliance.
  • Create a contract management function underpinned by a datadriven culture through the establishment of appropriate key performance indicators and measurements to enable effective performance monitoring, management, and outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee the forward ICT procurement schedule and work in partnership with the ICT Procurement team to support compliance and accuracy of ICT contract and procurement activities, including but not limited to system costs across the organisation.
  • Oversee the software asset management compliance for Council for licencing, maintenance, security, and data governance, and proactively remediate risks.
  • Monitor and manage technology supplier relationships through effective communication, engagement, and risk management, including conflict resolution as required.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Possession of graduate or post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline OR be pursuing such qualifications OR substantial proven experience within the desired areas
  • High level of experience in interpreting specifications and commercial contract conditions and communicating appropriately at customer/supplier level
  • Substantial communication skills (oral and written) with proven ability to resolve issues
  • Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership

This is a permanent fulltime, Level 7 position, with a salary commencing at $110,575 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
