    About the role

    selectability are recruiting for a Casual Facilitated Coach you will deliver coaching sessions with carers while meeting monthly KPI's, empower them to understand their needs and goals and to make decisions and actions independently. You will facilitate one-on-one and group coaching sessions with carers to support their goals. Many carers receiving one-on-one supports often move into the group space, so the ability to cross refer, and identify additional services carers can utilise to build their capacity further, will be expected.

    The Facilitated Coach will support the Carer Coordinator with accurate data collection, completing required resources for coaching sessions and continually updating Carer Coordinator on trends, challenges, or other relevant information.

    Main duties:

    This Facilitated Coach reports directly to the Carer Coordinator and is responsible for:

    • administering and complete registration, assessment, and planning activities with carers who are accessing the consortia partners core services of facilitated coaching
      ensure action plans are developed with carers that reflect their aspirations
    • responds to the current support needs, and contributes to their overall health and wellbeing
    • entering carer details into the client management system, ensuring statutory requirements
    • conduct risk assessments, including assessment of suicide risk and action and safety plans to mitigate any risks, providing follow ups support if required, and communicating all risk to direct line manager for escalation
    • provide carers with information non internal and external programs/services ensuring referral pathways for carers and their families
    • provide carers with the skills to identify their own needs
      assist carers to develop strategies to improve their caring situation and overall wellbeing

    About you

    To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

    • experience in administration or support roles
    • experience in mental health (highly desirable)
    • ability to empathise with carers and show compassion
    • ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, courtesy and discretion
    • excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
    • ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • excellent written and verbal communication skills

    You will also need:

    • experience leading teams, programs and services
    • experience in Mental Health Industry (highly desirable)
    • relevant qualifications
    • a current drivers licence (minimum P1)
    • a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
    • a Blue Card with a Yellow Card exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
    • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit to access this free module)
