We are seeking a

Communications, Marketing & Events School Officer to undertake a diverse range of administrational tasks within our College office. In this dynamic role, you will have the ability to work independently as well as within a team, providing communication services to parents, students, school staff and the wider school community. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge and understanding of contemporary marketing and communication strategies, processes, and operations.

Typical duties include:

  • Coordinating College events including Academic, Cocurricular awards evenings, Year 12 Graduation, Formal, Year 11 Social, Visitors' days, official openings/blessings, anniversaries, and other College events.
  • Assisting School Leadership Team with various communications, such as Parent Slips, Facebook, Twitter, Google advertisements.
  • Creating school newsletters, and other forms of publications.
  • Manage promotions and marketing of the College by organising photo shoots, advertising externally, engaging with established and new community members and organisations, including Primary Schools, Parish, Sports Clubs.
  • Manage the College website.
  • Manage & stock College merchandise.
  • Manage printing internal and external publications, including parent information booklets, Yearbook.
  • Establish and maintain St Thomas More College Alumnae.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant administration experience,
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills,
  • Display proven communication & interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
