Closing Date: 13/06/2023- Job Type: Temporary- Location: Maitland- Job Category: Administration & Office SupportAll Saints' College Maitland is seeking a temporary part-time (15 hours per week) WHS Administrative Officer to join the team ASAP for the remainder of the year.


All Saints' College is a coeducational year 7-12 Catholic School which is part of the Maitland Newcastle Diocese system of schools.

With approximately 1400 students and 200 staff learning and working across 2 campuses, we are the largest school in our diocese and one of the largest Catholic Schools in the state.

St Peter's Campus caters for our year 7-10 students, and St Mary's Campus caters for our senior students in years 11 and 12.

Following the decision by the Diocese in 2021 the College will be transitioning to one campus in the next few years.

The School WHS Administrative Officer provides administrative support to school staff and the school principal for Work, Health and Safety matters.


ASC Senior Campus Maitland is committed to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of all our employees and others undertaking work such as volunteers and contractors.

Our School will consult with its employees and others undertaking work in implementing safety practices and systems.

The involvement of employees at all levels and of others undertaking work such as volunteers and contractors is critical for ensuring a safe workplace.


The consultation arrangements have been established to enable effective consultation to occur and to promote safety and health at ASC Senior Campus Maitland.


The Health and Safety Committee will assist with the development and monitoring of safe work practices and systems for managing health and safety and discuss issues that affect the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees and others undertaking work at ASC Senior Campus Maitland.

The committee will review incident investigations and risk management in consultation with the group they represent.

The School will respond to HS Committee recommendations within a reasonable period of time, obtaining advice and assistance from appropriate Diocese staff including the Safety & Wellness Business Partner.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience using initiative and selfmotivation in the workplace
  • Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks
  • Intermediate experience and ability to work with various databases, Microsoft office programs and excel
  • Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines
  • An understanding and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category A
  • Accreditation to Work

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of Anaphylaxis training

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.
