Leadership Team Members bring their wealth of knowledge and wisdom to regular meetings to provide advice to their Corps Officers.

Often connected to the corps for much longer periods than corps officers, sometimes decades, the Leadership Team hold local corps history and knowledge of the church community.

Therefore, Leadership Team Members' experience and insight is integral in key decisions and future developments, as well as day to day operations, spiritual life and fellowship of the Corps.


  • Key tasks and responsibilities
  • Leadership: Regularly attend Corps Council / Leadership meetings to assist in decisionmaking of corps operations such as budgeting, fundraising and property matters.
  • Administration: Record minutes of each meeting and make these available for Divisional audits and reporting.
  • Support corps spiritual life: Provide guidance and assistance with evangelical outreach and soulsaving endeavours, and the involvement in such of soldiers, recruits and converts. Identify reasons for any lack of, or special increase in, soulwinning, with special attention given to the proportion of seekers made into soldiers, losses of soldiers and recruits.
  • Support worship: Prepare and deliver Biblicallysound worship services and prayer when required.
  • Support corps programs: Assist with regular and special events and provide suggestions for new and unique initiatives to increase the prosperity of the Corps. Contribute to projects by fulfilling and reporting on specific tasks and actions within timeframes.

  • Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating corps ministries
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Effective planning, coordination and organisational skills
  • Attends worship on a regular basis, or linked to community through ministry
  • Capabilities and personal attributes

  • As this role is a leadership position in a corps, it is considered a childrelated role and therefore requires a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • As this role has a higher level of responsibility and involves dealing with confidential information, it requires a Police Check
