The Role


The Law Clerk provides a legal support service to the Duty Solicitors and is the first point of contact in the Legal Service's Office at the Adelaide Magistrate's Court Office.

The Law Clerk is required to provide general information to members of the public and stakeholders, perform secretarial and administrative tasks, undertake legal research, draft simple legal documents and correspondence and coordinate the effective operation of the Adelaide Magistrate's Court Office.


Salary Range
$66,590 - $70,968 per annum (ASO3) plus superannuation


As a not-for-profit organisation, the Legal Services Commission is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.


Term of Employment Contract
Temporary contract until September 2025.


What You Need For Success

  • Completion or near completion of tertiary studies in Law.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive matters appropriately in a manner consistent with legislative and professional obligations.
  • Possess the confidence and authority to deal with other legal professional people such as other lawyers, prosecutors, court officials, on behalf of the solicitor and relating to legal cases and clients.
