About the Role

In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is seeking a Storeperson to join the team at Enoggera, supporting the Stores service for the Retail Stores Contract.

This position is a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
You will work under general supervision, either individually or in a team environment, performing a variety of tasks requiring a knowledge of stores, customer support, distribution, transport activities and warehousing practices and procedures.

Duties

Over the counter customer service
Receive, check, and acquit stores under supervision
Ensure proper custody of stores, e.g. stock check of quantities check for deterioration of equipment, expiry of shelf life & Security of inventory.
Stock packing and preparation for dispatch along with loading and unloading trucks when needed and if qualified
General administration computer work

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Prior demonstrated experience as a store / warehouse attendant
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of or the ability to gain knowledge of the Electronic Supply Chain Manual (ESCM), Defence Security Protection Framework (DSPF) and Defence Technical Regulatory Framework
Previous Experience with Defence Inventory Systems (MILIS) is highly desirable
Forklift licence highly regarded
Drivers licence applicable to vehicles on site (Car)
A team player who works well with others
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore must be an Australian Citizen.
Must Be able to meet physical requirements of the role as well as the physical demands of the environment and emergency evacuation requirements
