What you'll be doing


The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative assistance to the Nurse Manager (NM) Wait List to ensure the maintenance and allocation of waitlist patients meets NSW Health Waiting Times and Elective Patient Management Waitlist Policy and MoH targets.

This role will also work closely with the Nurse Manager Waitlist to manage the administrative components of the Collaborative Care Program which enables public patients to have their surgeries undertaken in certain Private facilities with Service Level Agreement's.


  • Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Health Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management Policy
  • Demonstrated experience in patient management systems, Medicare, private health systems, accounts payable and Oracle financial management.
  • Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to compose quality correspondence, documents and reports in a professional and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively and exercise initiative and judgement in dealing with confidential issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a workload, prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to competently use a range of computer software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Patient Management Systems, Oracle, Chimp
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high quality care to children and their families.
  • Excellent customer service skills

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
