About the Role
Our Client is a highly successful local manufacturing business who have been in operation since 1969.

With a market share of 80% in South East Qld and beyond, they are continuing to go through a strategic growth phase throughout the rest of Australia and NZ.


As a part of this growth and success, they are now seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer, who has demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing and/or inventory related business.

You will have responsibility for end to end AP functions including month end and year end closing. This will be a busy and challenging role, working in a high volume environment.

Duties:


  • Reconcile Vendor Statements
  • Maintain and respond to accounts payable queries
  • Manage supplier invoices including processing in the ERP system seeking approvals and allocation into correct accounts
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payments
  • Maintain accounts payable vendor files
  • Overseeing daily transactions, investigating anomalies,
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms
  • Manage monthend and yearend closing of supplier invoices
  • Reconcile and process credit card transactions
  • Three way matching for stock orders and processing in ERP system
  • Reconcile and manage deposits paid to suppliers

Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience in manufacturing or an inventory related business
  • High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Proficiency in Accounting and Business Management Software
  • MYOB Exo experience would be an advantage
