What you'll do:


  • Processes staff time sheets, calculating penalties, sick leave, ADO's etc. as appropriate.
  • Processes payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responds to inquiries from staff related to pays, entitlements and leave
  • Updates staff changes/movements and personal details within the payroll system.
  • Maintains staff administration files and files pay data (including archiving of past records).
  • Provides information regarding staff fringe benefits deductions as required.
  • Provides information and completes appropriate forms for Centrelink as requested.
  • Types Statement of Earnings letters for staff as requested.
  • Assists with other Finance duties when Payroll work is completed.
  • Participates in staff development opportunities and other organisational activities as required.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • At least two years' payroll experience working in a medium sized organization.
  • Experience in administering a computerized payroll, which includes full time, part time, casual and shift workers.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, and independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally, with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to work occasionally in the evening or on the weekend and Public Holidays if required.
