Transaction Banking Solutions provide tailored working capital solutions, including payables, receivables, cash and treasury management and more that allow our customers to: Innovate and revolutionise the way they can interact with their customers, Drive cost out of their business, Mitigate fraud, operational and transition risk, and Deliver business growth faster with analytics and insights from the largest Australian bank.


As transaction banking product specialists, we support the Client Relationship Management team in delivering Total Capital Solutions to institutional customers.

This role will report into our NSW Director Institutional Account Management and will be a member of the Transaction Banking Solutions (TBS) division within Global Institutional Banking Coverage


Do work that matters:

Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading client engagement in the NBFI segment for TBS in New South Wales
  • Be a thought leader for the Institutional ecosystem and provide unique insights into market conditions impacting CBA and its clients
  • Develop, lead and own relationships with client C-Suite and Treasury executives to enable the capture of first mover opportunities with clients across the TBS product suite
  • Have a deep understanding of clients' relative operating and financial strength and identify viable improvement opportunities
  • Deliver core insights and expertise to develop and maintain client plans by identifying opportunities and associated client engagement strategies
  • Work in partnership with internal business partners to ensure the strategy for the Ecosystem is consistent with the overall IB&M business proposition
  • Understand IB&M's product and solutions capabilities (with particular focus on transaction banking) and contribute to their continuous development and improvement
  • Analyse, interpret, structure and negotiate transactions opportunities to ensure optimal outcomes for IB and IB clients
  • Lead a client deal team within an IB&M ecosystem to deliver client centric capital solutions across IB&M's product/capability suite
  • Liaise with colleagues and ensure key stakeholders are engaged on proposed transactions and opportunities in a timely fashion

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Understanding of NBFI, and the key drivers affecting this industries
  • Familiarity across product capabilities including working capital, cash investments, cash management, merchant solutions and payments
  • Experience in engaging and building credibility and strong relationships with institutional clients, stakeholders at Csuite level and anticipating client requirements
  • Track record of building and leveraging effective relationships across an organisation to deliver against financial and risk objectives
  • A strong client centric mindset focused on understanding and meeting clients' needs
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills with a strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach
  • Highly organised and efficient, with an ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.
