About the role


The Support Worker will work as part of the Brunswick Salvos team to provide information, assessment and planning, practical assistance, referral, support and advocacy to people presenting with a wide range of needs.

You will also work as part of the Richmond Salvos team to provide outreach, support and community development in Richmond and Abbotsford including The Anchorage (Tuesday).

This is a maximum term, part time position 30 hours per week, to 10 January 2024. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award Level 2.

You will have

  • Diploma qualification in community services or related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in social and community services program delivery
  • Understanding of and commitment to the Christian faith and mission and values of The Salvation Army
