The opportunity:

***As Investment Analyst within the Funds Management team, you will gain exposure to acquisitions, fund monitoring, financial analysis & modelling and reporting.


The performance monitoring, financial modelling, reporting and analysis you provide will enable the fund and its stakeholders to make well-informed, strategic investment decisions regarding current portfolios and assets, potential acquisitions, and the ongoing delivery of investment returns to clients.


The financial reporting and analysis you provide will incorporate capital and market intelligence, including the asset pricing metrics, interest rate markets, monitoring and analysis of key market trends, revenues, occupancies, supply pipelines and changes to demand drivers.


In addition, you will assist in managing asset strategy by providing support in asset budget review and assessment, asset acquisition and divestment works, refurbishment feasibilities and investment project/s strategy and analysis.


Responsibilities of your role include cash flow modelling, investment returns calculations and analysis, fund level budgeting and forecasting, valuation management and the preparation of asset acquisition, divestment and investment review reports.


Upon successful hire, you will:


  • Prepare performance reports (vs budget) and provide variance analysis;
  • Monitor asset level performance in conjunction with the Asset Management team;
  • Monitor fund level performance in conjunction with Finance Team;
  • Create and maintain cashflow forecast models;
  • Bank facility reporting;
  • Participate in fund level budgeting, including calculation of asset level and equity returns;
  • Assist with debt facility arrangement in conjunction with the Debt Capital Markets team;
  • Assisting with coordination of capital calls from investors;
  • Preparing acquisition papers for submission to Investment Committee in conjunction with the acquisitions team;
  • Independent and internal valuation management and reporting;
  • Internal reporting, including to the Investment Committee, the Compliance and Risk Committee and the Trustee Board;
  • Other ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested from time to time;
  • 26 years of experience as a financial analyst in a relevant industry, such as accounting, finance, banking, property, consulting and funds management;
  • Experience working with and reporting to different levels of internal and external management;
  • A high level of familiarity with financial statements and financial analysis;
  • Ability to build and maintain Excelbased financial models;
  • High level of attention to detail, good with numbers;
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts and process information relatively quickly;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and how they interact with financial returns analysis;
  • Welldeveloped analytical, decisionmaking and problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills;
  • Excellent report writing skills;
